The banking institution introduced a line of credit specifically aimed at women, including those in a negative situation.
Brazilian women with an unfavorable financial history can now take advantage of the new line of credit offered by Caixa Econômica Federal. This initiative, carried out in partnership with Sebrae, aims to stimulate entrepreneurship among women in Brazil, providing them with more opportunities.
Entitled “Caixa para Elas Empreendedoras”, the campaign also covers women with credit limitations, that is, those who have financial issues. The total amount earmarked for loans is 1 billion reais.
Who is eligible to apply?
According to information provided by Sebrae, entrepreneurs who are taking their first steps, even if they have not yet formalized their business, have the possibility of requesting loans with an average of 1,000 reais. In addition, it is planned to offer training and mentoring courses to serve the public, benefiting around 30 million women.
According to the president of Caixa, Daniella Marques, only 5% of women who are account holders at the institution use other products and services available at the bank. In a universe of 17 million potential customers, 70% of them are involved in autonomous or informal activities.
Regularization and access to more credit
Any formal company that focuses on growing a small business will receive credit and credit cards with prepaid receivables after three months of operation. After seven months of activity with regularized CNPJ, entrepreneurs will have access to credits of up to R$12,000 from the Aval Fund for Micro and Small Businesses (Fampe).
After one year of regularization, these parties will be able to request larger loans, similar to those offered by Pronampe.
How to proceed to wrap the program?
Those who wish to access credit must initially formalize their status as Individual Microentrepreneurs (MEIs) and complete the necessary courses. The deadline for participation is November 19th.
